Every year in the United States alone, the countries national parks receive upwards of 250 million visitors, 2016 setting the record at 331 million visitors. However, the parks are becoming more and more dangerous for those who decide to trek through the wilderness. Last year there were reportedly 1,025 death in our countries national parks, and upwards of 10,000 people who suffered injury due to altercation with predators and other humans. C.L.E.S.S plans to reduce these statistics with our technology: a phone to connect to emergency services, a built in medical kit, and an alarm mechanism to scare off predators as well as a 24/7 live feed camera to monitor events.
